Creating a budget-friendly computer for your music production buddy's needs
The project focuses on building a computer for a friend who specializes in music production. They’re not into gaming and have no prior experience with computers, so I’ll need to troubleshoot whenever issues arise. For performance, an Intel processor would be ideal since it’s user-friendly and well-suited for audio work. Using integrated graphics is a bad idea—it would only save a few dollars but hurt quality. It’s frustrating to think about, but cutting costs this way could really help them. Thanks!
I didn’t plan on mentioning that. Budget came up because it sounded more appealing. Likely between 500 and 1000, with all the other components ready just in case. The CPU and GPU are still puzzling me, and I wouldn’t choose Optiplex. I already have plenty of spare parts from past builds.
It really helps more than you think. A mediocre used graphics card might be worth it if it’s just a bit better than your CPU (8/9000 series). The RAM could be a hassle, but that’s understandable. Thanks again!
