I created this setup two years ago, and it generally works well. However, I've observed some unusual occurrences that are hard to pinpoint. Essentially, during brief moments of activity—like when moving around or performing actions—the cursor would suddenly pause for about half a second before continuing, and at the same time, the headphones would emit static noise. There are other minor issues too, but nothing consistent. If you're familiar with building and testing your PC, here are some steps you might try: check connections, update drivers, run diagnostics, and see if the problem persists across different games or tasks.
The issue seems unclear at the moment. Check if the event viewer provides any details. Consider updating drivers and Windows if available. If problems persist, it might be a hardware concern. Test with a different port on the monitor and GPU, or use another cable. If the problem continues, the GPU or monitor could be failing. Disconnect the GPU and temporarily switch your CPU's iGPU. All systems are running smoothly now. The drivers and windows have been updated, and the GPU has been swapped between this setup and a regular one—everything works well on the latter. It’s unlikely this is the cause. The monitor tests with two different models have also been tried; some are brand new (360 OLED under 6 months old), and none are problematic on the other system, though two units show issues. My Windows installation is mostly fresh and tidy, except for a few exceptions like games and launchers. Any further suggestions?
System shows minimal activity recently with a few errors and warnings. It seems you haven’t spent much time here, so I’m not sure what’s typical.
Try simulating the issue, then open Event Viewer to review the recent logs—critical events, errors, and warnings. Display them here.
