Just began overclocking. From what you've shared, I've had to reset my CMOS several times. To do that, I need to remove the GPU. I was thinking about using an old fan cord that fits. Take off the third wire, then at the end of the cord add a button that would supposedly clear the CMOS when pressed. My JBAT1 only has two pins, and MSI Gaming Edge X570 uses three.

The concept remains unchanged; it functions similarly to how a power button operates by connecting two pins.

That's exactly what I was considering—it was the same idea. But I'm not ready to take the chance and just go ahead.

That's quite clever. Having a Corsair C70 case will definitely help protect it from accidental damage.

As long as you short the two pins, it doesn’t matter the method you choose. I usually use two jumper cables and set up a push button on a breadboard for this task—it functions really well.

Next time you purchase a motherboard, check for a Clear CMOS button on the back panel
