Yes, you can clone your partitioned HDD to a new SSD and use it on a different PC with a new motherboard. You’ll need an ISO image, copy the partition layout onto a USB drive, insert it into the boot USB slot of the new machine, and boot from there.

I wouldn't switch Windows to another system. Opt for Microsoft's Media Creation Tool instead.

Based on your understanding, copying a drive to another storage device and installing it on a different computer should work properly, provided the operating system version supports the original Windows key.

Norton GHOST or Clonezilla functions well for HD cloning. You may need to restart Windows, though it’s usually not a major issue.

Perfect choice—no need for activation. It's far superior to piracy support. I'm in favor of the latest version, especially with the new drive and motherboard.
