Hello everyone! I’m planning to create a compact form factor computer for travel to various hospitals. I already have a great home-built setup, but I don’t want to relocate it and prefer not to use a laptop. I’m considering the Lian Li Q58 case mainly because of its appearance, and I’m open to alternatives since I already have a Dynamic Evo for my current build, though it’s not final. My budget is about 2,000 dollars, and I only need the design. I enjoy playing MMOs (Elder Scrolls, Ashes of Creation alpha 2), as well as games like Remnant 2, Baulders Gate 3, LOL, and Overwatch. I’ll be using a 1440p monitor. I’m thinking about a Nvidia 4070 or similar, though it’s not required—I already have an AMD setup in my current build. This isn’t my first case project, but it’s my first attempt at such a small one.

Thanks in advance!

Using your budget means you don't need to handle anything yourself—let experts manage it for you.

How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice This guide is based on recent discussions where many users seek upgrade recommendations. I adapted the original post from forums. to help you refine your parts selection, taking into account your location and preferred suppliers (besides the budget you mentioned). For example, with the Lian Li Q58, it’s not as portable as a case made by Lian-Li, but the Dan A4-H20 offers some flexibility due to its SFF build. The situation is still evolving in 2024, so there are many possibilities.

I'm based in the US and have used Newegg, Amazon, and have access to a Microcenter. You know I just thought the Lian Li was cute LOL. When I say portable, I mean not two large glass panels but something easier to carry in the car. It will stay with me for three months before I move to another place. Back then I used to take a full-sized steel/aluminum tower back and forth to my boyfriend just looking for something more compact than that lol
