I'm working on a friend's computer and need to create a fresh Windows 8.1 install from an ISO file. I only have a Mac at the moment, so can I just download the ISO from Microsoft instead? When I try to download it, I only get a creation tool executable.

Ensure you have the .iso file ready, then use unetbootin to locate the drive, download the .iso, and generate a bootable disk. If no iso exists, obtain one from getintopc and remember to have the correct key. Cheers!
