USB flash storage will upload Windows setup files and create a bootable USB drive. The Windows 10 ISO will be transferred to your internal hard drive. Third-party tools are required to write the ISO onto a USB flash drive.

It varies based on your needs. I usually opt for an optical disc since I didn’t want to consume a USB drive, but most people can’t reuse them once updates are required.
