Hey everyone, I'm feeling quite upset about what I'm going through. My PC tablet (Wacom Mobile Studio Pro) isn't working properly, and I've got a brand new one. I made a system image of my old computer on an external drive. Now I need to move this image to my new PC so I can skip all the extra steps like cleaning up bloatware or changing settings. The issue pops up when I try to restore from the blue background screen, under advanced options, and then it shows a warning saying Windows needs to format the drive where the Recovery Environment is running. Since I don’t have a physical CD drive or a USB CD with a drive, I’m worried I won’t be able to restore my PC from disk image without one. I’ve tried using a USB stick with a Windows ISO file, but it still gives the same error message. I partitioned the SSD and copied the ISO, but it only works during boot and still blocks me. I really hope someone can help me without having to set up everything manually. Thanks!

You can't simply place the ISO file on a USB or disk partition. First, extract its contents and create a bootable drive. Then, use Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to set up the USB properly. Just boot your system into it and connect the USB, then follow the instructions.

Hello, thank you for your response. The setup worked correctly; the purple background and language settings appeared properly. After selecting "repair your computer," the same message was displayed again.

Thank you for clarifying. I understand what happened. I used the provided download link and followed the steps to create a bootable USB flash drive.

I've never faced this problem while starting from a USB drive, which is unusual. I'm hoping another person can help clarify.
