I'm facing some issues opening my resume. It was saved as a file, but when I tried to open it in Word, it refused. I changed the extension to .docx and added it to Word, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

The warning seems related to Office 2003 attempting to open a 2007 document.

It indicates that Microsoft Word is unable to access the file contents due to corruption or similar issues.

Convert the document to a standard .doc format so it remains accessible across different versions.

Well this is a different issue. You have a corrupted file and you really can't "un-corrupt" it. Did you do your resume on another PC and then tried to open it in some other PC and then you got this message? If so try opening it on the PC you created it and then try to e-mail it to yourself or put it in google drive if you have that then go to the other PC and try to open it. it might open then.

Only when it opens in Office 2003 does this apply.

Absolutely! I set it up on a different machine, uploaded it to my system, and began working with it.

The difference lies in how MS format XML is handled. (Two versions exist, each supporting the extension for compatibility.) lrn2Word
