Create a copy of your main or boot drive.
It's feasible to duplicate your entire main boot drive. You already have a setup with an M.2 for booting and multiple storage options, which gives you flexibility. Updating to a newer Windows 10 version would resolve compatibility issues, but you should back up important data first. If you proceed, ensure the cloned drive is isolated before any changes. This approach can help avoid prolonged troubleshooting and prevent program failures.
Previously I relied on Clonezilla. It’s a streamlined Linux installation media that handles the dd command automatically. Straightforward and convenient. Worth checking out.
Macrium Reflect. Clone offline system using a bootable rescue USB or another machine. You can also clone a functional OS, but it depends on VSS which I’m not confident about. The only time my clone failed was when I tried to clone the working OS. Others do it smoothly, so perhaps that was just bad luck for me.
