Create a bootable USB drive quickly.
Hey everyone, I'm looking for urgent assistance. I've been trying to create a Live Kali Linux USB for a long time, but none of the three USBs I've used have worked. My laptop uses UEFI, and even after changing the boot order, it keeps running Windows. The USB is 4GB, and I've used RUFUS to install it, but it still doesn't work. I've also tried formatting it as NTFS and FAT32, but nothing seems to be right. What went wrong?
I'm working on building this boot drive. I'm following the necessary procedures to ensure it functions correctly. Understanding your actions will help provide more specific guidance.
Here’s a rephrased version:
For instance, the official guide is available at http://docs.kali.org/downloading/kali-li...sb-install
1. Verify the checksum of the ISO file you received.
2. Refer to the instructions provided on the distro website once more.
3. Navigate to BIOS and disable Windows 8 features before starting the system. These options are often labeled as "fast boot" or similar alternatives.
4. Avoid installing Kali Linux on the hard drive—it’s not suitable for everyday use and may contain unsafe content.

It functioned perfectly, thank you very much. Your support means a lot!
Several advanced web development classes now incorporate Kali tools into their curriculum. Kali isn't mandatory, but it's a practical CD that suits this context. Edited April 16, 2017 by W-L Content
