Hello, I just put in an i9-10900KF into my NZXT N7 Z490 with BIOS 1.80, the newest release. Previously I had an i9-10850K installed. I still keep the older CPU. Once I powered it up to the new one, no display signal appears and I connect to my GPU. Everything gets power properly. My keyboard RGB, mouse pad RGB, and any USB devices don't receive power or their colors fail to turn on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Observing quickly, these two pins seem mismatched. It might just be the photo—capturing CPU sockets isn’t easy, and if you follow the LGA 1200 pinout they’re likely just for the iGPU and a ground pin (which you probably don’t need to touch). Only the same USB port supports the rear I/O, and the debug indicator functions during startup.
they use the bent pins and a sturdier razor to bend them back properly. The razor’s weight is helpful when you need to work freely without a socket for leverage. Also, the 10900kf isn’t an upgrade—wait for the 15th generation or Ryzen 9000 if you want a real improvement. This is my genuine reaction when I saw the title.
Updated. I understand it's not an upgrade, but I need a faster CPU and I'm limited by cost so I can't upgrade to the newest models. The best I could do was use the CPU that came with the board. Fixing my board wasn't worth it because there were more bent pins than initially thought, so I bought a new one. It should arrive by Tuesday at the latest and Thursday at the soonest. The RAM isn't compatible with the motherboard, which is why I'm experiencing issues. My frustration has been resolved—I'm relieved!
