You're aiming for smooth performance in Elden Ring on your i7 12700F with the B760 chipset. Make sure your graphics settings are set to high and test different resolutions to hit that 60fps goal.

Checking if the frame rate is around 60 FPS on average, considering performance in busy or CPU-intensive sections.

The 60fps average seems to reflect CPU usage, considering the presence of geyser-like activity, water movement, and particle generation.

Verify your GPU performance during gameplay to confirm; if utilization stays below 90%, the issue likely stems from the CPU.

You’ve faced several problems and now received replacement components. Did you begin with a brand-new Windows installation, separate from your old PC? Were you certain the Windows was not copied or transferred? Did you install all the necessary drivers for your new hardware? You should try these options. My advice is to start with a clean Windows copy if you’ve purchased a new motherboard and other parts. It’s not mandatory, but I believe fresh installation helps avoid confusion and issues. If that isn’t possible, ensure you update all drivers correctly and use DDU in Safe Mode to remove the GPU driver properly. After exiting Safe Mode, install the new GPU driver and verify your game benchmarks against others to confirm consistency.

The watermark isn't an issue. I'm cautious about keeping Windows if I switch motherboards, as it might cause complications. If you're okay with it, go ahead and format the drive first. Otherwise, at a minimum, verify all drivers are correctly installed before proceeding. Try DDU in Safe Mode, exit it, then download and install the latest Nvidia driver. After that, test everything. Keep HWinfo running and monitor CPU and GPU activity, including core speeds and power usage during gaming.
