I've faced several PC problems recently, but managed to replace some parts and everything is now working again. However, after installing a new MSI B760-P motherboard and a 4060 GPU, I've noticed reduced frame rates and game drops in titles like Elden Ring and GTA5. Previously, I consistently reached around 75FPS on my 3060TI with the old motherboard, but now at high settings I'm seeing 45-59 FPS in Caelid and 45-59 elsewhere. For GTA I, I used to hit 110-136FPS, but now it's struggling to maintain a steady 60. I suspect the GPU might be bottlenecking the CPU, though I also experienced boot issues that required troubleshooting BIOS settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed - It's hard to say one way or the other if we don't know what you're trying to run in the first place.

I'm glad you mentioned it, but it seems that wasn't the initial request. You have an i7 12700f.

What specifications do you have? It seems like you mentioned a GPU and Boards, but it looks like you might have forgotten to include the full details. Could you clarify the model or provide more information?

The 12700F offers strong performance for an RTX 4060, but switching from a 3060 Ti to a 4060 represents a downgrade rather than an upgrade. The 4060 delivers noticeably less speed compared to its predecessor.

System details covering CPU cooler included. This should work perfectly in GTA without any issues. Just make sure the high-end graphics options are disabled.

3060ti to 4060 isn't an upgrade unless you're relying solely on AI and video encoding enhancements from Ada Lovelace vs Ampere. The 3060ti offers better performance. The RTX 4060 provides less PCIe bandwidth compared to the 3060ti (Gen4 x8 versus Gen4 x16).

I know exactly what happened, but the GPU stopped working. A friend made a PC and gave me a prebuilt one for her birthday. She bought it cheaply, so it was the best offer I got. Still wondering if I could manage 60 FPS in Elden Ring with high settings on that card.

I need clarity on your request. Could you specify exactly what you have or what you're aiming to achieve?
