You're considering upgrading your CPU cooler paste for better performance. The GD900 shows promising results compared to older options like MX4, and it's a more affordable choice. Whether it's worth switching is subjective—consider testing the new paste on your current setup and monitoring temperatures. If you're aiming for 4.7 or 4.8, ensure compatibility with your cooler and motherboard before proceeding.

The warranty has already lapsed, so if you're confident you can handle it, proceed. Thermal options will likely perform better.

How near are you to the highest voltage you enjoy? Pushing a CPU beyond its limits could be dangerous, even though removing the BIOS isn't very risky. I only recommend downgrading new builds since you're likely to stop using them soon, unlike a brand-new system.

I wouldn't. A jump from 4.6 to 4.7 or slightly higher won't provide much improvement, it doesn't seem worth it.

It's not necessary to risk anything. I tested the 3770K recently, and it improved performance during high demand.

Playing these games at every MHZ makes sense, and I could have been more casual too because they don’t require as much effort.

These are challenging games where success is possible but mistakes are likely. If you feel ready to handle them, go ahead.

I've faced risks every step of the way with this PC. Rust loves to sneak in RAM and CPU issues. I'm pushing through despite it all.
