CPU-Z shows unusual behavior.
Hello, I'm encountering something unusual with my overlocking setup. I'm just starting out and mainly checking stability using CPU-Z benchmarks. Normally, when I symmetrically increase all core clocks—like setting them to exactly 4.6GHZ—the tests run smoothly and give solid scores (4742/601). But adding about 25mhz to any core turns the results bad, and the multi-score drops significantly while the single-core performance only slightly improves (for example, 5x 4.6GHZ vs 1x 4.65GHZ yields 3860/610). The CPU seems to be operating freely, with temperatures around 60°C and no power throttling. Any suggestions?
The first thing that comes to mind is the voltage might not be sufficient, though that seems unlikely. What are your VRM temperatures?
Temperatures are remaining in the upper 40s to low 50s. Regardless of voltage, the performance stays consistent.
I think I've identified the issue. The problem persists even after overclocking one core, causing others to underclock by 1GHz. Despite high voltage settings and no power limitations, the software reports all cores at 4.6, but one runs at 4.65. VRM temperatures stayed below 75°C, and CPU temps are steady around 60°C under load.
