You just installed the new RAM and checked the settings, but the frequency isn’t showing up correctly in CPU-Z. The SPD label lists Max-Band with DDR4-2666, and HWInfo says DDR4-2666 as well. It looks like the numbers might be misinterpreted or the BIOS is not updating properly. Double-check the RAM type and ensure it matches the specifications.

Could be the highest data rate of each device. Or there might be an issue with how the system identifies the software.

Check for additional XMP profiles in the BIOS settings. In CPU-Z, you should see a value around 1800Mhz indicating the correct XMP profile is active.

2666 refers to a JEDEC standard. The SPD section lists an XMP profile. It’s essentially an overclock attempt. You should know there’s almost no possibility of reaching 3600Mhz with an R5 1600. Likely, the system restarted to default after failing to boot at that speed. Running at 2666 after enabling XMP probably happened because the motherboard reset to its standard configuration.

You have the "vintage edition" of CPU-Z. Upgrade to the latest standard version. Consider entering the BIOS and turning on XMP, then manually lowering the speed from 3600MHz to around 3000MHz or even 3200MHz if it functions.
