The problem with my PC involves a white CPU indicator appearing on the motherboard after I returned home yesterday. After reassembling it, it briefly powers up to the desktop, functions for three minutes, then freezes before restarting again triggers the same light. When I removed the RAM and tested each stick separately, it worked temporarily but lacked peripherals and display functionality. After adjusting the RAM placement, the CPU light returned, though the DRAM light remained on. Recently, I discovered the motherboard might be damaged, as everything appears to light up normally despite the issue. I built this system in summer 2022 and haven’t faced any problems before. I’m considering replacing the motherboard now. The specs are: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Mobo, MSI b550 Gaming Plus, Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) at 3600MHz, AMD RX6750 GPU, Corsair 750M PSU, and 80+ Gold.
Typically, when the CPU indicator light appears, I check the RAM first. If the problem persists, I try connecting it to another RAM slot just in case the socket is faulty.
I've tried this several times before with no success. I ordered a new motherboard anyway because I've owned the PC for a year and a couple of months. I don't have time to wait weeks for a replacement, and I doubt I can return my old one since I can't find the user manual, which is required.
I’d still process the return for the old board. A simple module replacement shouldn’t require a full reinstall, though it’s always a good idea to double-check.

I previously encountered something similar and had questions about connecting to the front IO.
I was using type C to type C before, as I received a type C on the front interface, but this new motherboard lacks a type C connector, making it simpler to purchase an adapter. Also, I think my previous motherboard failed due to power surges when connecting faulty USB cables; after trying a USB cable today, my peripherals and headset disconnected, requiring a reset. It seems the old motherboard had too many power surges, though I’m not sure.
It's quite unusual. Have you considered performing a fresh installation?
