I'm just starting out on this forum and I hope someone can assist me. I've noticed my CPU is stuck at 100% even when it's not running. It's an i7-9700K with a slight overclock, but I'm not sure what might be causing this issue.

In Task Manager, go to the "Performance" tab. Look for CPU usage and ensure it's not stuck at 100%. If it is, right-click the process with the highest usage and select "End Task" or "End Process" to stop it.

When you encounter "System Idle Process" with a PID of 0, it indicates the CPU is not actively using resources. This value represents unused cycles rather than real consumption. Essentially, subtracting 99% from 100 gives you 1%, meaning only a tiny fraction of CPU is being utilized during idle time.
