CPU usage is unusually elevated.
Over the past time, my CPU performance has skyrocketed. A past user mentioned it was fine, but mine is 70 times bigger. Could this mean there’s an issue with my PC setup? My configuration includes Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 (64 bit), Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3080, 16GB RAM, Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB, and an 850W PSU.
There are numerous background processes active right now. If any appear suspicious or unfamiliar, consider using a malware scanner like Malwarebytes to investigate further.
It seems your system is performing well despite the uptime, which is impressive for Windows X. I’d recommend checking the PC restart.
I shared this because Steam began behaving erratically. It’s also notable that the system reports a 6-day uptime since I power off my PC each night. Surprising that I’ve maintained such a long period, but after restarting it’s back to normal as shown in the earlier post. Thanks for your assistance.
Shutting down in Windows 10 is similar to putting the system to sleep. To begin with a fresh setup, you need to restart.
Due to some issue, the Windows hybrid shutdown process (logging out and then hibernating) fails to restart the counter. Pressing Shift during the shutdown command ensures a standard shutdown.
I've experienced roughly two months of continuous operation on my laptop due to using a hard drive and entering sleep mode to reduce boot times. However, it's recommended to power off and restart your computer at least once weekly to prevent possible complications (particularly with Windows). I also use Glarysoft's Malware Hunter to scan for any existing malware, though I've tried Malwarebytes as well—it performed quite effectively. Consider running both tools simultaneously if you want thorough cleaning. --> https://www.glarysoft.com/malware-hunter/
