Hey everyone, recently the COD war-zone has been causing problems. CPU usage drops, FPS decreases, and freezes appear everywhere. My rig setup looks like this: CPU i7-3770k turbo boost 3.9 GHz, cooler CoolerMaster v6 GT, 8 GB RAM, RTX 2060S GPU, ASUS Strix 8GB VRAM, Asus Maximus IV motherboard, and an Evga 650W PSU. It seems this issue is unique to this game, though I suspect it might be related to optimization. I followed these steps: turned off Intel speed-step, disabled CPU spread spectrum, cleaned the cooler and applied new thermal paste, updated drivers, reinstalled the game twice, cleared shader files, and did a full graphics driver clean. After that, I played Red Dead Redemption 2 and other high-medium games with average FPS of 71, max CPU at 100%, GPU around 40-50% usage—no problems at all.

The games need at least 8GB of RAM. You have enough for the game plus any other programs you run. This information comes from Nvidia's website.

Running at the minimum configurations is what you're doing, but your system is running a much higher-end processor than suggested. The i7-3770K is significantly more powerful than an i5-2500K.

Make sure to monitor your RAM usage during gameplay. A friend had similar issues with RAM and the page file.

The RAM consumption is currently at 7GB, but adjusting paging manually on the SSD where the game runs might help resolve the problem.

Adjust the cache settings in CODMW graphics to disable them on systems with 8GB RAM, unless you already have them off. This can improve performance.
