Pick up the $25 i7—it’s the top pick without needing a full motherboard setup. A great upgrade for the cost of a cheeseburger!

It's hard to dispute the price, but why should you spend $25 on a cheeseburger?

I’d receive an i7 2600 from eBay. Also, if you haven’t already, switch to Windows on an SSD for a noticeable boost in performance. Right now, you can find good SATA SSDs at affordable rates—Newegg is offering a 500GB Samsung 870 SSD for less than $50.

I've had $28 burgers here in Atlanta (St. Regis) but not a $38 one. The $28 was good, but not worth it over other offerings (Farm Burger, for one). Can't imagine that being worth it, but I'd love to try it to find out

back then in NYC the food scene was pretty limited—mostly lattes and cheesy burgers for a buck or two. Today’s prices would make a decent burger around 20-25 euros, which feels reasonable compared to what it used to be. I guess I’m just glad I don’t have to pay that much for a decent meal anymore!
