You can keep the PC case open. The cooling setup you described works well, and keeping the case open helps maintain optimal airflow.

For better outcomes, opt for a quieter setup but expect higher volume. Maintain the side panel when temperatures stay manageable.

Temperatures are reasonable, proceed with a closed case.

@5x5 I missed noting the reading at 3700mhz with 1.15 volts since it hit 75*C during the run...

That seems strange—please reattach your cooler. A value of 75 is typical for full stock operation (boost at 4.1).

I cleaned and refinished the cooler myself. It was running between 80-85°C at 4.2ghz across all cores at 1.25V while using Cinebench with a 3600. Gaming temperatures stayed in the low 70s. I should buy some good paste—cheap options work too. Noctua H2 is great, but any popular brand will do. *Edit* If I were you, I’d probably spend $30–$50 on a better cooler. The stock one for the 3600 is really bad.

My PC is brand new, purchased just four days ago. Performance varies: around 50-55 watts under Chrome and 70-75 watts during gaming (on a 240Hz display at 3700mhz, 1.15V). Before powering it on, temperatures were 75-77 watts when Chrome was running on a 60Hz screen.
