CPU temperature reading unusual during startup.
CPU temperature reading unusual during startup.
A year ago I upgraded my PC with an ASUS B450F gaming motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. After a year, I observed unusual CPU temperatures in the BIOS at -99.0°C. Anyone experienced similar issues? Is my motherboard faulty or is the CPU at fault? Can I fix it? Thanks ahead.
No other problems are occurring with your PC, only the temperature display is showing.
Current reading is minimal. Enabling auto fan mode in BIOS causes minimal spinning and elevated temperatures.
It appears the temperature sensor is malfunctioning. You may need to set a constant fan speed or switch to another sensor for managing the CPU fan via software such as fan control: https://github.com/rem0o/fancontrol.releases
I'm not sure, but I don't have details about its location. Could you clarify where you're checking? Is it on the motherboard or CPU?
