I tried setting up my first PC with an AIO cooler. Right after power-on, the CPU temperature was between 85-90°C, then rose to 100°C and then shut down. After reinstalling the cooler and applying more thermal paste, it briefly dropped to 60°C before jumping back up to 80°C and then back to 100°C, causing it to fail again. Fixing it helped a bit, but I’m unsure what else might be causing the issue. Any advice or solutions would be appreciated.

You likely adjusted your pump speed to a lower setting, but verify it’s operating at maximum power. Check if it’s linked to the CPU fan—ensure the CPU is at 100%.

Varies based on your BIOS settings, but on my board it shows under Monitoring > Fan Control. In this scenario, it's not a fan you can adjust, but the pump—connected via its PWM—is the one you should monitor.

It would be useful to know the exact AIO and CPU model you're using. This suggests the pump might not be functioning properly—possibly because it's not connected or is dead. Verify it's powered on, then check for movement by touching it near the CPU block (some units have the pump in the radiator). If it doesn't move, consider contacting support and request a replacement.

This AI model includes a pump inside the CPU module. Check if the pump is rotating; if not, ensure it's connected properly—then it may be faulty and require replacement.

Due to my disorganized cable setup, the power cable for the CPU cooler was missing. Thank you for allowing me to inspect the connections again.
