CPU temperature monitoring via Corsair Link may face instability.

Hi guys, maybe I just don't understand what package temp is. Or it's possible that this is a bug within Corsair Link, as I've seen. Basically, the problem is that my CPU package temperatures for my Ryzen 7 2700 read ~80 celcius on Corsair Link, but on NZXT CAM my CPU temperature is 28 idle and my BIOS says that too. I was wondering what the difference is and if that reading is wrong in Corsair. I don't think my CPU is hot but I want to make sure. I have a Corsair H100I cooler as well, which is probably overkill for my overall specs. Anyways, I'd appreciate it if someone would tell me if there's nothing to worry about, or maybe there is.

I wouldn't rely on them; check the measurements with HWiNFO (click 'sensors-only' after launching)

Corsair Link is no longer supported, so updates from Corsair aren't available. This could lead to problems with CPU performance if the device isn't updated for them. Corsair iCue acts as a replacement and should function with your H100i cooler. For monitoring temperatures, you can also try HWinfo64 if you're unsure.

HWiNFO is often refreshed and recognized for its dependability. It doesn’t suggest harming your CPU, but rather affecting certain readings because it becomes outdated.

This won’t affect your CPU performance; the program may display incorrect numbers for Corsair Link. The hwinfo data suggests temperatures are normal. Because nzxt Cam matches those readings, it looks like Corsair Link had an error.

I believe I identified the issue. The link was displaying the average temperature instead of the real-time value. If this is true, it’s a significant problem and Corsairs needs to address it. Regardless, HWinfo remains the top choice.
