Hi everyone. I'm dealing with a persistent heating issue on my custom PC. The CPU temperature often spikes to 85-100°C without any obvious cause. Even when I'm using Discord or multiple Chrome tabs, the fans run very loudly and performance drops. Task Manager shows normal usage (1-4% CPU), but the heat builds up so much it causes thermal throttling. After replacing thermal paste and clearing dust, the problem persisted. It seemed to resolve completely for over a year, then reappeared recently. I've tested fans and radiators—cool air comes out well, and the radiator isn't excessively hot. The issue doesn’t seem linked to high workloads; it happens even with light tasks like VR games or running several apps together. The temperatures around the CPU and one AIO tube are consistently warm. It’s not about pushing the system too hard. This pattern usually disappears when I’m doing demanding tasks, but it keeps coming back now. Anyone have insights on what might be causing this? My specs are: Ryzen 7 5800X, MSI SUPRIM RTX 3070 Ti, 32GB RAM, 3800MHz, Trident Z, and a GAMING PLUS motherboard. Lian Li AIO. Help would be greatly appreciated! Also, these spikes start right after boot, with sensors reaching 85°C+ and staying there.

Ensure both tubes and the radiator reach the same temperature as the coolant flows through them. If the radiator remains cold, the pump isn’t functioning properly. Usually one tube is slightly warmer than the other because of heat loss in the radiator, but it should still have some warmth.

Thanks for the response. Both tubes aren’t impressive—what I meant was to compare them. One feels mildly cool, the other is comfortably warm. The radiator does become warm, though not overly hot. It might be the pump that’s the issue.

The pump remains functional yet encounters an obstruction. This could explain why the radiator fails to heat up properly.

The CPU block/pump reaches high temperatures, often exceeding safe operating limits during intense workloads.

Very pleasant. It's definitely warm, not overly intense.

The Galahad 240 has been facing some problems lately, especially around the time it was manufactured. The buildup or clog appears to be related to the issues you're seeing.
