CPU temperature is high at 1600 degrees on model R5.
Hello everyone, my friend is facing high temperatures on his R5 1600X. When we first assembled the PC, the CPU fan (Wraith Max) was spinning extremely fast, even after adjusting the BIOS settings it didn’t change. He ran for about three months playing at full load and low details, with temps around 60°C while idle and between 64-70°C during games. The fan was spinning so hard it seemed like something was wrong. After three months his CPU started behaving poorly and he couldn’t run games smoothly. Now the temps are stable at 60°C while idle and 64-70°C while gaming, with the fan running strongly. I’m wondering if the CPU fan might be mounted incorrectly or if there’s an issue with the CPU itself before I remove it. Thanks for your help!
Remove the CPU cooler and inspect the thermal paste. It might not have been installed correctly and could not spread properly.
