Thanks for your clarification! The video mentions only a 1°C improvement, which seems modest. You're right to question whether that’s enough, especially since you expect lower CPU usage without the offset mount. It does sound puzzling given the low BIOS temperature and the spike in temperature once Windows starts. Could this be an inaccurate reading? I want to be sure I’m not risking the CPU if I later play games where temperatures rise further. Any way to verify this?

Only specific coolers require offsetting; the best models come with built-in offset. Verify you haven’t removed the block after applying your TIM. Confirm your AIO is connected to the correct headers. If everything checks out, your cooler may be faulty and needs a return.

I'll review everything once more, please. Also, wouldn't the temperatures be elevated at that time as well?

I don’t own an AM5 socket, but I have some Zen3 modules that typically run at around 30°C in BIOS. I stick to maximum power settings and the full 200MHz bandwidth. Even my X3D stays very quiet, so I don’t need any fans on my CPU cooler.

Is the motor showing signs of shaking when you touch it? Does it operate smoothly if you listen closely?

I completed a Cinebench test today. The results match what you’d anticipate for this processor. The peak temperature reached was 92.4°C, though it generally hovered near 91°C throughout the test. However, even when not in use, the CPU consistently stayed around 80°C. This suggests everything is functioning normally and the idle temperature isn’t unusually high—unless there’s a problem with the cooling system. If the sensors were faulty, the temperatures wouldn’t have remained so stable during the benchmark.

I don't measure temperature myself, but I can help you with Ryzen Master installation or usage if needed.

This is not acceptable. I would return the cooler.

For your reference, here’s a brief overview of current CPU temperature readings. The situation involves a download process with Chrome open, and the only monitoring tool in use. It shouldn’t put extra strain on the processor.
