I wouldn't suggest trying the kraken. The tools in use are faulty, the price of coolers is excessive, and the sound is too loud. Opt for an Arctic Liquid Freezer RGB 360. (Ensure you have room. If not, I'd choose the 240 model. It still works better than the kraken and doesn't require software.) The pump and fans are coordinated and plug directly into motherboard PWM headers. It really varies by game, but in CSGO it's definitely a consideration. Playing at 1440p just a bit below 1080p still makes sense to upgrade. If you have the budget, I’d invest in the new 7800X3D—expected to drop next month around £450.
I didn’t realize my CPU was the issue, and GPUZ didn’t give any alerts. If I upgraded the CPU, I probably need to replace the motherboard too—maybe it’s time for a full refresh. Thinking I’ll get everything new eventually, haha.
I own a 7700K, your processor seems to be running at higher voltage than mine. Likely its voltage exceeds 1.3V? In the BIOS I configured it to a maximum of 1.2V, but I can share some insights. There are threads suggesting you also lower the GPU voltage using Afterburner—around cutting power usage by about a quarter. If your PSU supports an overvoltage setup, upgrading to a better one could improve efficiency. You might save around 100W total. Fan behavior varies: rear fans push air against the CPU cooler while top fans draw cool air from it. The noise differences will depend on the specific models.
