Hey, I've noticed some odd behavior with my PC after a night off. When it starts up cold, the CPU temperature jumps instantly to around 100°C (212°F), but usage stays normal. After a few restarts, it boots properly and reaches about 30-35°C (95°F). If the CPU hits that high, the fans spin nonstop, making it very noisy. It slows down, stutters, and eventually shuts off completely. This happened when I was using Windows 10, and after reinstalling Windows (keeping my files), it worked well for a while. But now with Windows 11, the problem has returned. I don’t want to go through another reinstall or reconfigure everything, especially if something else is causing it. The BIOS shows normal temps at about 25°C, but they spike dramatically only when booting into Windows. The OS runs fine otherwise. There are no error messages on the screen or unusual sounds from the motherboard. I’ve attached readings from Corsair iCUE software for reference.

It seems the device has a tendency to fail intermittently and the pump occasionally doesn’t activate. Consider replacing it.

It seems like you're questioning the pump setup on your AIO and thinking about upgrading. You mentioned a budget cooler from ThermalRight as a better option, and you're comparing it to the ML240. That’s a solid point—switching to a more reliable cooler can make a big difference.

Checking for updated options under £80/$100. Looking for both air and AIO coolers in that price range.

Thermalright offers a premium cooler at around 35£ and an Arctic Liquid freezer near 60£. Finding a better alternative is tough, as most options are either too expensive or don’t provide significant improvements.

Tysm! I kept the stock cooler to check if it was the problem, but now it looks like the cooler itself is the issue.
