specs motherboard: ASRock z590M-itx/ax gpu: AMD Radeon rx 6600 cpu: i7-10700 kf no oc just all on auto as far as I can see. cooler: gamer storm captain 360x aio fans:3 ll120 on radiator 2 140 mm corsair fans on top and 1 ll120 on the back my idle cpu idle temps sit around 35-40 c but when running game, it jumps to 80 sometimes even 90 c. furthermore in cine bench single core runs fine with temps as high as max 60 c, multi core it will thermal throttle almost immediately. is this normal as all

How many years have you had your AIO? Is the motor operating smoothly? Did you just apply new thermal grease?

Check that the block itself is not getting clogged up with tiny particles....very common issue and reduces water flow allowing the cpu to gain higher temps and under load much faster than normal. I swapped to custom loop but even my EK velocity I dismount and clean on a yearly basis. The plate above the fins on the block has such a small gap to create the turbulence across the fins just a tiny amount of dirt reduces flow.

I don’t understand its age, but I just applied a small amount of Corsair thermal paste about three months ago. It’s too old for them anymore, and I’m not sure if I can afford to buy new. If it’s really important, a good 360mm AIO might be worth considering.

You can test for blockages by observing signs like reduced flow, unusual noises, or pressure issues. Use visual checks and listen carefully for any changes in performance.

I resolved the issue and installed a rog strix lc II, which handles 50 max without any problems.
