Someone could explain why your 5900x shows temperatures at 50°C idle. It might indicate a concern, though you usually don’t exceed 65°C under load with your Noctua NH-U12A.

Ryzen operates under elevated voltages, maintaining stable performance at 40-50°C during idle, even when submerged in water.

My 5900x runs idle at around 48* with the Noctua DH-14, using PBO and a -29 curve on the optimizer. It has a pretty aggressive fan curve inside the lian li lancool 2 Mesh case, which gives great airflow. I’m hoping to bring the idle down further, but from what I’ve learned it seems like it’s fairly typical.

My 5900X is set for a boost to 5150, running around the mid-twenties with the Ultra 120 Extreme Rev 4 and Frost Commander 140.
