They're also both heavily reliant on CPU performance.

It appears in the game, on the chart, on the recording, and in real life. That sudden jump in frame time is the stutter. Imagine it like a brief pause where everything freezes, then resumes. This is exactly what I’m experiencing. Is there another game you recommend I explore? I can also suggest some free options.

Forza Horizon 5 requires significant GPU and CPU power, with a heavier load on the graphics card. Farming Simulator 2019 or 2022, BeamNG.Drive at lower settings, and Eco are all demanding in terms of system resources. These titles tend to be more costly to own. There doesn’t seem to be any free games that handle such demanding PC components well. If you know of any alternatives, please share them!

I didn’t notice it in the recording. I’m getting on in years. If you haven’t tried one yet, go for a power virus—it’s even more taxing than games. Plus, it generates a lot of heat. Prime95 for CPU and Furmark for GPU are both basic versions of folding@home style tests that were fine-tuned for maximum performance. One is a simple CPU benchmark, the other a basic GPU test that pushes the hardware to its limits. Both are outdated but free.
