I don’t understand what happened to my CPU.
It was overcooked by the people I bought it from about seven years ago.
My CPU model is 4670k.
I switched power management from balanced to performance, but now it’s stuck at 3.6ghz.
Even when there’s no load, it doesn’t change.
I went back to balanced and nothing helped.
I checked the BOIS but couldn’t find any power-saving option that was turned off.
I’m really stuck here and would appreciate any help.

Are you certain the Intel Turbo feature is activated under the BIOS OC section?

It's working now that the power management is set correctly, but after rebooting it shows it can't boot with these new settings. I haven't tried this before. Thanks for the help!

Because it's a K CPU, you might want to disable the boost and set your Multiplier to a Fixed Value such as 42 to maintain a steady clock speed. However, I'm not very experienced with overclocking, so you may want to look up some information online.

That's what I've done, I also had to disable some power-saving features in the BOIS because they were causing instability. Now it's running smoothly. The only issue is that when I turn on the PC, it reports instability, but after saving and exiting then booting again, everything works fine 😂 Any suggestions?
