I attempted to ask him about the Honeywell PTM 7950, as I noticed your previous posts and a Reddit thread mentioning it. Instead, he provided me with Deepcool EK720 thermal pads and paste. I’m considering saving money by purchasing one for the recommendation.
That heat pad is excessively bulky and might have damaged the component due to excessive force. It seems the manufacturer didn’t install it on the GPU, which could have caused the failure.
Degrees don't measure intelligence. This seems like a bunch of young people trying to fix computers who accidentally messed up the laptop's cooling pad. It's possible the GPU is still working. Try checking if GPU-Z can detect anything. It might just be a Windows issue. Either way, I wouldn't fully trust what this person said about the system unless you can confirm it. Also, their photos show the battery looking swollen without any mention of replacing it—those are beginner mistakes.
Well, I believe MSI should remove their shop as an authorized service center. I’ll check if it’s valid and hopefully get my GPU working again. GPU-Z only shows my built-in graphics because they disabled my discrete card, saying it was dead. They mentioned the battery is swollen, but it could take a month or weeks for it to arrive from Taiwan to my location. I plan to replace it in December at the capital of my country. There’s also a chance they might try to overcharge me with the battery price again since most items seem too expensive.
That feature in the bios can be re-enabled later. It wouldn't be wise to do that until the pressure problem is resolved. Being off might have prevented further damage. This update comes from Apple and Lenovo, and getting this title isn't difficult at all—often it's not even a challenge.
