The laptop is an MSI GF75 Thin 10SCXR SSD that stopped working, so I took it to a technician. They cleaned it, replaced the SSD, and told me my GPU died too because of overheating. They said my laptop has about a year left and can run Roblox and osu, but now I see the CPU temperatures are always around 95 degrees. That’s really hot! Sorry for the bad English.

That is so rare. Overheating should shut down the system or that GPU, not kill it. Are you sure your GPU is even dead? So now, you are just running out of I-GPU? There is no math to calculate the lifespan of a system. Bro, which technician did you take it to? You sure it wasn't before? What CPU do you have? When does it reach 95 C? Must be thermal paste or cooler mounting issue.

Also check if gentle pressure on the battery reveals an air space inside. The appearance in the photo suggests a slight swelling, so it’s best to remove it and arrange safe disposal since signs of failure can indicate potential risks like overheating or even fire. Regarding the CPU getting hot, it makes sense given the iGPU usage—many premium laptops reach such temperatures immediately after startup due to high demand.

Step 1: Your SSD is missing two components, and the vents are completely clogged with dust. Use a PC duster to clear them out, or install a low-pressure compressor right away. This will instantly reduce temperatures and boost performance. 3: Your battery is expanding—remove it safely and dispose of it correctly. This poses a serious health risk and costs around $50 for replacement. Did you visit the right technician? If your GPU is already dead, the laptop will likely stop working completely. You might have been scammed. Also, don’t expect the device to last just another year—fix these issues and there’s a good chance it will last another five years.

I concur. It's usually wise to handle maintenance tasks yourself to ensure proper execution. @Rice69 Consider getting a Honeywell PTM 7950. Numerous widely used thermal pastes tend to be removed rapidly upon direct application to mobile CPUs.

It seems "dead GPU" relates to the coolant melting in the solder joints.

I'm not sure if my GPU is completely failed. I'll attempt to open my laptop and see what's going on. The technician removed my 1650 GPU, claiming it stopped working. I took it to a local tech shop where they said they have advanced degrees and are experienced with computers. They mentioned the CPU temperature was around 95°C during use, which is high. It might be due to poor thermal paste or inadequate cooling setup. They used EK720 pads and possibly Deepcool paste at the store. The CPU model is an i7 10750h.

The battery is overcharged and will need swapping this holiday season to extend its life as recommended.

Sorry, no images were attached after the repair. I’m using an Adata Legend 710 with 512GB storage. My laptop runs on Gen 3 NVMe, which is the only Gen 3 SSD they offer.

Sorry, the photo wasn't attached. I have an Adata Legend 710 with 512GB Gen 3, as my laptop only supports Gen 3 and it's the only option available there. I plan to replace it this Christmas. I took it to a local technician who has multiple degrees and experience, including being the head technician. Since I don't have a GPU, I'm using it just for school documents and light gaming—not for heavy tasks like gaming or video editing. I was worried he might be scamming me because he said my GPU died after checking Task Manager, showing only Intel UHD, and I wasn't sure why it overheated. It's strange since my CPU stayed at 80-90% before the SSD failed, while the GPU stayed around 50-60%. Thanks for the update!
