Verify in the NVidia control panel that G sync is active in both fullscreen and windowed settings.

The idea that BF1 was always CPU-intensive is questionable. Critics have labeled it an issue since launch, but it’s not the main concern. G-Sync only reduces tearing, not performance. Adjust your game speed to match your monitor’s refresh rate—144Hz for 144fps, 60Hz for 60fps. This helps if the game exceeds those limits. Beyond that, frame usage becomes less important as long as you meet the required frames. If your monitor stays under its limit and you can handle the frames, the bottleneck isn’t likely due to hardware weakness.

I enjoy that place though, but my partner gets really upset when I try to search for something together.

G-sync handles this automatically worldwide; no settings required in the game if G-sync is active in the NVidia control panel.

I've run some tests and it looks like CPU usage spikes only on specific maps. For me, Amiens and Grappa are the worst performers, while the others seem to handle things better.

After several hours of gaming, performance improves when matching your refresh rate with the monitor settings, using full screen and keeping CPU usage between 30-35%. However, enabling V-sync with G-Sync eliminates screen tearing but reduces frame rates since the CPU runs at higher loads (60-75%).

the only guide that consistently keeps the cpu at 75% is amiens

the cpu temperature remains stable below 50 when gpu usage is high, especially between 85-99% where it stays between 58-60
