Suddenly my CPU began fluctuating wildly between 100% and 0%. Even without any tasks running it keeps spiking. While using Chrome it jumps up to 100% again, even when nothing is open. Could this be due to overloading the processor? I just finished a demanding project in Vray, a realistic rendering tool. Since then my CPU has been acting strangely. Now it's normal for every program I launch to freeze and crash instantly. Plus, the keyboard stops responding in Windows Search and similar apps.

It's an Intel i5-4460 processor, which is quite outdated yet has performed reliably for years without issues. Regarding the BIOS, I'm uncertain about its status, but my drivers are current—maybe a BIOS check or update would be wise.

I inquired since Ryzen models faced an issue previously. It could relate to Windows 10 or a BIOS update.
