Sorry for my unclear English, I just got a new Lenovo Ideapad 3 Slim 3 (14”) running Windows 11 with 8GB DDR4, Intel i5-1135G7 and NVIDIA MX350. I installed some games and experienced performance drops when playing CS:GO, Heroes, and Generals. My CPU clock would suddenly drop to 0.19 GHz from its base of 2.4 GHz, causing a one or two-minute lag in the whole system (see picture). This doesn’t happen with Ace Combat 7 or the PCX2 emulator. The highest temperature recorded was 84°C, so it’s not likely a thermal problem. I’ve tried turning off game DVR, updating BIOS and drivers, using ThrottleStop, disabling fast boot, but the issue continues. Anyone know why this occurs? PS. These are the only games I have installed at the moment.

Starting from a notebook, what’s the temperature like? Then add HWinf064 (or something similar) and check the readings. They seem near the maximum, which is why performance drops so much.

Thank you, I didn't realize the maximum temperature was capped at 84°C.

Your computer is slowing down because it's getting too hot.

You're overheating despite disabling turbo. Check your cooling system and airflow.

Do you think we can find a fix? I have the same laptop and the same issue as yours. I don’t know how to resolve it.
