I received: GPU: 1060 3gb CPU: AMD FX 8350 8 core 4Ghz RAM: Corsair Vengeneance 3x4gb DDR3 Power Supply: 650 watt When playing GTA V or experiencing some frame drops, my CPU would drop to 4.07 GHz and then to 1.36 GHz, usually resulting in normal FPS followed by a 3/4 FPS drop for about 5 seconds before returning to normal. Could someone assist me with this issue? I suspect the problem is related to the CPU since it changed from an AMD FX 6200 to the FX 8350 recently.

Your chip should just boost its clock speed when needed. If you're not using demanding tasks, it won't run at full speed. When compared to your previous model, is this change affecting your system's efficiency negatively (could indicate a problem)?

Check your CPU performance before lag spikes appear, but notice a bottleneck issue. That’s why you upgraded to the new CPU—lag only shows up during gameplay on Boomwebsearch.

Try using Display Driver Uninstaller to delete all Intel video drivers and see if it fixes the problem.

Playing around 79/80°C and starting at about 49°C. @Boomwebsearch isn't helping with the installation. @jj9987

The Piledriver CPU begins to slow down around 70°C. It's reducing performance to maintain safe temperatures. Consider replacing the thermal paste or upgrading your cooling system.
