Hey there! This setup is quite the challenge... I just installed a whole new PC for playing Deathloop. The components are: an i3 12100f, a B660m Mobo chipset, 32GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz, and an RTX 3070 graphics card powered by a 750W Gold+ PSU from Gigabyte. I chose the i3 12100f because it usually handles 60 FPS smoothly across all settings in the games I've tried—except for Deathloop. The performance is inconsistent; sometimes it runs at over 144 FPS without V-Sync, but often the GPU usage plummets (under 40% on my RTX 3070) and the game stutters heavily with fluctuating frames. My neighbor’s PC with an i9 13900K handles it perfectly, so I’m wondering if my CPU isn’t powerful enough for this title. Could upgrading the i3 help? I thought it was a solid CPU, but if it struggles with a modern game, it might become outdated soon. Smile

The two CPUs required by the game match its minimum specs—both are 6-core with SMT. It’s possible the game thrives on heavy multitasking and many threads, making a quad-core setup unnecessary. I own the title but haven’t played it much, which is a bit of a missed opportunity since I’m a longtime Arkane fan.

Your thread usage per core appears consistent, but if you notice multiple threads operating near full capacity consistently, your processor might not handle the settings well. Consider using RTSS to cap frame rate instead of V-Sync. Many V-Sync setups keep buffering newer frames, which helps avoid tearing but can increase CPU and GPU load.

It seems your processor is struggling due to insufficient cores or a bottleneck. You likely wanted a 12400 chip.

It seems the setup might be tight. Usually only a few threads run well even under heavy CPU load, as seen in the photos attached. I captured two clips: one at about 50 frames per second using optimized settings, and another at around 75 FPS with minimal adjustments to push CPU performance to its limit. The first clip runs smoothly with free sync active, but when the CPU hits its peak, the game freezes for a few seconds—making it difficult to play.
