CPU slows down at extremely cold temperatures (about 44-46°C)
I adjusted power throttling and set all low-power states in BIOS, raising the minimum processor speed to 100%. No changes were observed. After switching from the stock cooler to Deepcool Ice Edge Mini FS v2, my PC became quieter, but I’m concerned about underclocking. Anyone have advice?
I ran the stress test with P95 blend and used core temp and speedfan to monitor temperatures. Both tools showed consistent readings. I configured the CPU to always run at maximum speed, but I’m puzzled as it still underclocks once it hits about 45°C.
The vcore drops as well, which seems to be the main issue I've been testing with p95 and CPU Z. Once it hits about 45°C, both the core voltage and clock decrease, leading to a lower score in CPU Z—reaching around 810 before dropping to roughly 790 due to underclocking.
I've adjusted my BIOS settings for RAM speeds, Northbridge OC, CPU OC, and a few other parameters. Despite that, I haven't noticed any thermal throttling, and even after resetting the BIOS, the only changes I made were switching to native IDE to AHCI since this SSD uses AHCI.
