I've increased my Athlon X4-860k to 4.5 GHz with a +.1200V voltage setting. The maximum VCore capacity I can reach is currently 1.404V.
At first, this overclock performed exceptionally well, achieving high scores in benchmark programs like PerformanceTest—scores reaching around 7000.
Over time, however, my scores have dropped to around 6500 and below when checked with tools such as PerformanceTest and CPU-Z.
In recent days, I've seen scores fall to about 5700.
This decline is unusual compared to other benchmarks like CineBench or GeekBench, which show much lower results.
I’ve been using this CPU for roughly 6 to 8 months. A burn-in test showed the processor was stable and functioning properly without freezing.
My motherboard model is F2A55M-DS2, paired with a 500W thermal power supply.

The motherboard is from Gigabyte. The complete model (including firmware version) is GA-F2A55M-DS2. It still doesn't support overclocking, which is confusing since the interface and EasyTune 6 seem to handle it well. I've experienced no issues with stability or overclocking, but performance has been gradually decreasing.
The article suggests that due to VRM heat problems, success may be limited.
It seems your CPU might be throttling for cooling purposes.
Remove the side cover of the case and use a fan to help cool the motherboard.
Try this method to see if it improves things.
