I own this computer for nearly a year and a half, and the processor consistently stays above 90 degrees. After opening it, the fan spins freely without any dust buildup, yet I still removed it to ensure optimal airflow. It clearly pushes air out efficiently. I scanned for viruses such as coin miners and found none. The device functions in games, though not as smoothly as when it was new (over a year has passed). Recently, performance has noticeably declined. The laptop maintains a maximum temperature limit of 95 degrees, so it usually stays around that level. I always set the fans to full speed to get the best speed possible. I’m unsure what’s causing the slowdown. It hasn’t been this long, so there should be no major problem. I’m in need of suggestions and advice since I’m running low on patience. Additionally, the system audio—both speaker and headphone jack—has stopped working. I’ve searched online for solutions, spent over ten hours trying fixes, but nothing helped. The audio issue hasn’t affected me much because I use a USB headset. I’m considering whether this is enough to warrant replacing or refunding the laptop. Thanks for any guidance—I’m exhausted and frustrated about its current condition. My CPU model is 10750H; I suspect it’s not a sensor fault, but the CPU stays very cool even when running heavy apps. It only operates at 2-5% load with multiple programs open, yet issues appear no matter how many or few are running. I’ve reset Windows twice to see if that resolves things, but it doesn’t. I’m thinking about upgrading to Windows 11. There’s a rumor it’s common for these laptops to lose liquid cooling and need thermal paste. I ordered some, but I’m not sure it will solve my problem. I can still play games at a decent rate—Valorant around 100 FPS—but the benchmark was much higher before. What are your thoughts?

Your room temperature could also play a role. Other suggestions that may assist but won’t resolve the core problem: 1) using a laptop stand—available options include those with built-in fans. This at least aids in spreading heat more evenly. 2) reviewing the BIOS to possibly adjust CPU overclocking or clock speeds. 3) if you have a separate GPU, consider reducing its power consumption slightly.
Do you think a laptop stand with a fan adds value? Is this standard setup sufficient? Many reviews on Amazon mention the fans aren’t very strong.
