I've never encountered this situation before. I was replacing my AIO to switch to a Ryzen 5 3600. My AIO had my CPU stuck in place, and it came out easily when the locking arm was lowered. What should I do?

Typical issue. For the next attempt, move the cooler side to side to loosen the paste.

If it doesn’t come out easily, try turning it gently or apply dental floss (though the first approach usually works). Checks the pins on the CPU—make sure you didn’t damage them.

Apply a light spray of rubbing alcohol along the edges to help the thermal paste release.
