I recently looked at the i9 10900k in Romanian shops and noticed its price jumped about 80%—from 2,500 lei to now around 4,000 lei. That’s roughly 300 euros more. Was something unexpected happening? My last update was under 30 days ago, and prices seem to be rising again while AMD is putting pressure on Intel.

Must be a local thing. The price in Germany continued to slowly decline to ~550 € but not much stock is available.

It seems strange. Perhaps the shop you looked at is out of stock. To maintain the site, they employed a tactic of increasing prices until nobody wants to purchase it. Sorry, I don't remember the name of that strategy.
