Hello, your i5 11400F is a 65W processor. After your recent RAM upgrade and testing with Prime95, you observed it hitting its power limit during high loads. You adjusted the BIOS power cap from 150W to 180W and again saw it exceed, reaching around 179.89W. There was also thermal throttling involved. TDP serves more like MSRP, though it's not a solid number. As long as temperatures stay manageable, you can boost power limits without too much risk, but adding more capacity reduces efficiency—so anything above 140W often doesn't deliver much value for most users.
