Hello, I own a Razer Blade 13 with an i7 1165G7 and a 1650 Ti processor. I’m thinking about adding an eGPU like the Razer Core or a Thunderbolt 4 device. If I want the absolute best performance, how does the system handle the CPU? Will it turn off the dedicated 1650 Ti? Can it fully utilize the cooling power to boost performance? Will the CPU power limits be removed for peak results? Thanks for your advice.
Considering Thunderbolt 4 at its best, it's essentially a PCIe 3.0x4 connection, and a GTX 1650 desktop is already utilizing that fully—any improvement would likely be minimal. Regarding cooling, the CPU will receive more allocated heat dissipation, so in practice the GPU won't be the main bottleneck.
