Yesterday my i5 10600k slowed down from 4.6GHz to 800MHz after playing specific games (Rocket League and Valorant are the only ones I've seen). Once I left the games, the CPU kept running at 800MHz until I restarted my PC. I've been using this CPU for about a month without any problems so far. Any advice on fixing this would be really helpful.

I'm curious if an overlay is interfering and causing your CPU to believe it's unnecessary, similar to Discord or Steam in-game effects. Do you have any recording tools or similar software that might be running alongside your game?

I don't rely on any recording tools or Discord overlays. It might be GeForce Experience, though I seldom activate the overlay.

Check if turning off the overlay helps or removes it completely. If unused, remove it entirely.

It looks like the software affected the clock speed control at the operating system level. This might be due to a driver issue or a Windows update. A straightforward fix is to switch to the "High performance" power plan.
